SAP Shines Own Carbon Software On Its Footprint

It’s been less than a year since German software giant SAP bought carbon software startup Clear Standards, but the company has already used the carbon software tool — now rebranded SAP Carbon Impact — on its own emissions footprint. This morning, in conjunction with its earnings, SAP says its worldwide carbon emissions for 2009 were 425 kilotons, which is a 16 percent drop from the company’s reported 2008 levels of 505 kilotons.
